Clone QA Exemption

A cloned Outline may be exempt from QA if it was cloned from an Outline which:

  • is for the same subject code
  • is for the same session code; and
  • has been QA Approved (i.e. submitted for publication at least once); and
  • has not been edited since it was cloned

If the first three (3) criteria listed above are assessed upon cloning your Outline. If met, clone details are displayed at the top of the Edit Outline screen. Regardless, clone details are always available from the History Log.

The first three (3) criteria are determined on creation of the Outline. If met, the clone details display at the top of the Outline adjacent the names of staff in each role. The system determines whether the Outline has been edited since it was cloned once the Author clicks ‘Submit for QA’.

The SOT will determine whether this criteria has been met once the Author clicks ‘Submit for QA’. If so, the Author will be advised and asked to confirm that they wish to submit the Outline for publication to students. Confirm publication; or click ‘Cancel’ to return to the Edit Outline screen.

If the Outline is eligible for QA exemption, the Author will be asked to confirm they wish to submit the Outline for publication to students. Confirm submission; or click Cancel to return to the Edit Outline screen.

Outlines under variation may also be exempt from QA. Learn more: Varying an Outline
