Aunty Sue-Anne Cutmore

Aunty Sue‑Anne Cutmore is a respected Aboriginal Elder and current Chairperson of the Board of Directors at Waminda, the South Coast Women’s Health and Wellbeing Aboriginal Corporation. With a lifelong commitment to community wellbeing, she brings extensive experience in social work, mediation, group facilitation, and counselling.

Her leadership is grounded in empathy, cultural strength, and a deep understanding of how collaboration fosters meaningful change. Aunty Sue ensures that community voices are heard and valued, creating environments where cultural safety and inclusivity are central.

Following the 2020 bushfires, she partnered with the University of Wollongong on research into the impacts of the fires on Aboriginal communities, helping to inform recovery efforts and strengthen resilience.

Throughout her career, she has guided and supported programs that empower individuals and families across the South Coast of NSW. Her advocacy for culturally safe and trauma‑informed services has shaped more responsive and respectful community frameworks. As a leader and Elder, she continues to inspire others through her wisdom, compassion, and dedication to strengthening the wellbeing of Aboriginal communities.
