Southern NSW Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub

Building a resilient future for Southern NSW

The Southern NSW Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub builds preparedness and long-term resilience to drought across southern NSW through collaborative innovation, research translation and capacity building, supporting primary producers, First Nations and rural and regional communities.

Our goal is to build a future where farmers and their communities are stronger, more adaptable, and better equipped to face the challenges of drought. We go beyond research, working to support the adoption of new technologies, tools, and ideas that improve drought and climate resilience.

We are hosted by our lead partner, Charles Sturt University, and are one of eight hubs funded by the Australian Government's Future Drought Fund.

How we make a difference

  • Collaborative partnerships: Our network includes government agencies, universities, and industry groups to ensure a holistic approach to resilience.
  • Innovative solutions: We introduce cutting-edge technologies and practices tailored to local needs.
  • On-the-ground support: We empower communities by connecting them with resources, tools and training to enhance drought preparedness.
  • Real-world impact: Our projects have led to tangible benefits in drought preparedness, soil management, water conservation, and community planning.
