Equity and Diversity Services

The Division of Human Resources provides a number of services to staff and managers of the University:

  • Advice on anti-discrimination legislation - rights and obligations/compliance, implications for policy and practice
  • Advice and assistance regarding the implementation of CSU's Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Plans
  • Support with the development and implementation of Faculty or Division based equal opportunity initiatives
  • Facilitated training on equal opportunity issues for individual workplaces, such as disability awareness, compliance with anti-discrimination legislation, preventing harassment, resolving conflict
  • Advice and assistance on equity related employment issues - for example, balancing work and family
  • Confidential advice and assistance with resolving complaints of harassment, discrimination, victimisation or bullying, inequitable application of entitlements or other unfair treatment
  • Support and assistance to staff with disabilities - for example, with regard to physical access, workplace modifications, job redesign, flexible working hours, changes to work practices and obtaining specialised equipment
