Racism It Stops With Me Logo

The 'Racism. It Stops with Me' invites all Australians to reflect on what they can do to counter racism wherever it happens. All of us at Charles Sturt University are responsible for the creation of an inclusive environment where there is no place for racism. Charles Sturt University is proud to have joined forces with some of Australia’s leading businesses, sporting bodies and NGO’s to support the “Racism. It Stops With Me” campaign. The campaign will provide us with a focus to make our commitment meaningful.

Research from 2011 shows that one in seven Australians say they experienced discrimination because of their colour or background. This figure that has been increasing steadily in recent years.

Research has also shown that 70 percent of people agree that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous people are prejudiced against each other.

The national “Racism. It Stops With Me” campaign is being driven by the Australian Human Rights Commission and has been developed by a partnership of government and non-government agencies.

Be part of this campaign by sharing the message "Racism. It Stops With Me". Share it with your colleagues, friends and family!
