Admission Criteria

CSU Admission Policy

Applicants for the Bachelor of Communication (Advertising)/Bachelor of Business(Marketing) must meet the following Admission Requirements:

Ï     An ATAR of 65 (including adjustment factors)
OR
Ï     Successful completion of two university level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.
OR
Ï     A completed AQF Certificate III or higher level qualification
OR
Ï     50% completion of an AQF Diploma level qualification
OR
Ï     Successful completed of a Tertiary Preparation Course from an Australian University or an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.
OR
Ï     Work experience, within the same industry as the course profile, of no less than two years full time.
OR
Ï     Admission through the Schools Recommendation Scheme

AND
STANDARD English Language Proficiency requirements. Refer to http://futurestudents.csu.edu.au/apply/english-language for the specific requirements. 
Please note: While CSU standard English Language Proficiency requirements satisfy the entry criteria for this degree, an academic IELTS with a minimum overall score of 7 and with no score below 7 in each of the individual skill areas may be required by the AASW for employment purposes, in accordance with its English Language Policy (https://www.aasw.asn.au/document/item/139).

Students may transfer to either the Bachelor Communication (Advertising) or to the specialisation in Marketing in the Bachelor of Business in the first 2 years.

Graduation Requirement

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 256 points.
