Drought Management for Health and Longevity of Perennial Horticulture Plants

The project is one of two cross-hub projects where Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hubs work together on issues common to their geographical areas.

The Drought Management for Health and Longevity of Perennial Horticulture Plants project will demonstrate recent AgTech advances from research and development investments in commercial production settings.

These provide real-time information on canopy development and soul moisture. This enables optimised irrigation for plant health and longevity in water constrained settings, enhancing drought resilience.

To improve the likelihood of successful implementation the project will capture insights on:

  • Current knowledge.
  • Skills and attitudes.
  • Aspirations and motivations.
  • Constraints and enablers for production and innovation.
