Southern NSW Innovation Hub champions projects that seek to strengthen the capacity, leadership and self-determined participation of First Nations peoples in southern NSW to prepare for, manage through, and recover from drought and climate impacts.

Our work in this space is guided by the Impact Roadmap 2025-and the principles and priorities set out under the First Nations Community Resilience theme – building on the cultural, economic and social resilience of First Nations communities through caring for people and Country.

Four strategic program areas were identified as impact pathways, all intersecting with and connected to the core themes of Country and Community:

  • Knowledge partnership and two-way learning
  • Economic participation and local livelihoods
  • Strong Country and land management
  • Cultural continuity
