Talking resilience with the Unbreakable Farmer

25 July 2025

Are you interested in learning new ways to overcome challenges faced by those on the land? Do you want to know what it takes to boost resilience, leadership and wellbeing?

Don’t miss the opportunity to hear from Warren Davies, a leading rural mental health speaker also known as the Unbreakable Farmer, at a series of ‘A Good Feed & A Good Chat’ events in August across the Central Tablelands, Riverina and Murray.

A Good Feed & A Good Chat is a collaboration between Local Land Services (LLS), Rural Aid, supported by Southern NSW Innovation Hub, consisting of a series of five breakfasts or dinners farmers can attend for free.

LLS Senior Projects and Programs Officer Nyssa Belton-Liddy said with dry conditions in Southern NSW impacting many farmers, it’s a great opportunity for them to enjoy a nice meal and a chat with those from their community.

“People tend to get stuck on farm, it’s a busy time of the year, a lot of landholders are feeding stock and they’re feeling the pressure so we’re trying to encourage them to get off farm, have a refresh with a good feed and a good chat,” she said.

“The Unbreakable Farmer will provide some really valuable advice at these events - strategies that everyone can use in day-to-day life to help overcome challenges, build capacity and keep moving forward which is so important.”
